MISFITS

This scrap tag tutorial was written by me Diane Knight on 24 March 2009 any resemblance to any other tut is purely coincidental
For this tut I am using the artwork of JAMIE KIDD
you can purchase her tubes from CILM

for this tutorial you may need a basic knowledge of PSP

mask 51 by WEESCOTSLASS download from her site HERE

and this stunning Scrap FREE kit called MISFIT by Kirstys Scraps which you can download from her blog HERE

add the mask to your masks folder....

open a new canvas 600 x 600

copy and paste paper9 from the kit onto your canvas as a new layer

apply the mask using these settings

go to Layers - merge group

duplicate this mask layer..

copy and paste wire2 from the kit onto the canvas as a new layer,

copy and paste Frame2 onto the canvas

using the magic wand tool - while holding down the shift key, click inside both frames

go to selections - modify expand by 2 and copy and paste paper3 from the kit as a new layer.

go to selections invert and hit the delete key to remove the excess

while the selection is still active..using 2 tubes of choice, resize as nessasary

copy and paste into the 2 frames..

again hit the delete key to remove the excess

click on the frame layer,

and slide the frame to the top..

if unsure how to do this...while on the frame layer,

go to layers - arrange - bring to top.

add a drop shadow to the frame.

copy and paste ribbon4 from the kit resize by 90% then rotate right by 75

add a drop shadow , arrange to your liking

copy and paste heart1 (white heart) onto the canvas, resize by 25%

arrange to the right....see my tag for placement

..this will make the beads a little blurry, to fix that go to adjust sharpness - sharpen.

copy and paste the lilac crown onto the canvas, resize by 25%

arrange to the left....see my tag for placement

copy and paste the lilac pin onto the canvas, resize by 80%

rotate left by 25....arrange over the middle bow on the frame...

now select he eraser tool..use these settings

and click once to remove a portion to make it look like its threaded through the bow.

ok now add a drop shadow...

this kit also comes with a really fab font..

i resized each letter using smartsize by 25%

then rotated 1 letter right by 10

then the next letter left by 10 and so on...

to write the word MISFITS

if this makes the letters a little blurry, go to adjust sharpness - sharpen. to fix
