MINT CHOC

This tutorial was written by me Diane Knight on 7TH MARCH 2009 any resemblance to any other tut is purely coincidental

things you will need:

PSP

Template by Missy no 175 HERE

A scrap kit, I used Mint Choc by twinky HERE
Mask no 3 from Weescotslass HERE

Font used was Hollywood Hills Free HERE

For this tut I am using the artwork of Rion Vernonyou will need to buy a licence to use this artists work, my Licence is a GILD one but these days you can get them at CILM

unzip supplies

place the mask in your masks folder

and open up template 175

Delete the missy watermark

now i want a larger canvas so that i have room to work,

so go to Image - canvas size and change the
canvas size to 600 x 600 make sure it is centered,
now re fill your background layer with white

duplicate the 'shape' layer and move the dupliacte up then merge down...so that you have something that looks like this...

copy and paste the stripe paper from the kit, onto your canvas, slide this layer below the 'shape' layer... then apply the 'WSL_Mask3' mask by going to layers load/save mask - load mask from disk and check your settings are as follows...

merge group..

then on the 'shape layer' go to Select all - select float - select modify expand by 1 and copy and paste paper10 from the kit as a new layer. then go to sleections invert and hit the delete key to remove the excess.

add a drop shadow , I used the settings below.

on the frame background layer,

go to Select all - select float - select modify expand by 1

copy and paste paper6 from the kit as a new layer. make sure you are on the paper layer and go to selections invert and hit the delete key to remove the excess.

on the frame layer,

go to Select all - select float - select modify expand by 1

and copy and paste a paper from the kit into selection. then add a drop shadow as before...

merge bracket 1 and 2 on the template together,

go to Select all - select float - select modify expand by 1

and copy and paste a paper from the kit into selection. then add a drop shadow as before...

copy and paste the swirls, I used 3,

2 brown and 1 green resize by 50% add a drop shadow, slide these underneath the Frame background layer and arrange to your liking, add a drop shadow to each....

add the tag template to the canvas resize by 50% and add a drop shadow.

copy and paste the hearts from the Kit resize by 25% and add a drop shadow and arrange to the bottom right of the canvas. I rotated the blue right by 25 and the cream on left by 25%

add some flowers, to the left side of the canvas, I resized mine by 25% and added a drop shadow on each.

do the same with a button and and bow and add them to top of the left frame, see my tag for placement.

copy and paste template2 from the kit and resize by 50% slide underneath the left Frame and frame background , duplicate it and arrange the other to the right.

add tubes of choice, if using the same tubes as I did, then for the tube in the right frame just select the frame background layer

go to Select all - select float - select modify expand by 1

and copy and paste your tube as a new layer. then make sure you are on the tube layer and go to selections invert and hit the delete key to remove the excess. make sure the tube is between the background layer and the frame...

next you can add your name, font i used was Hollywood hills, with these settings,

and I actually opened a paper from the kit and made that my pattern for the background fill.

for the foreground fill I chose the cream from the papers in the kit.

for the left tube, I added the tube resiz by 80% then slide it underneath the frame layer and then added a drop shadow as before,

then duplicate the tube, and slide it to the top layer, select your freehand tool, and on the top tube, select this area..see below.

and hit the delete key.

selections none...

then on the bottom tube repeat this process this time being careful not to select the the area on the actual frame...like this...

that way when you delete it, it looks smooth. and you cannot see the joins.

thats it save your tag and your done..
