ROCK ANGEL

This tutorial was written by me Diane Knight on 4TH MAY 2009 any resemblance to any other tut is purely coincidental
For this tut I am using the fantastic artwork of TED HAMMOND
you can purchase his tubes from CILM

for this tutorial you may need a basic knowledge of PSP, but it is a fairly simple tut

and this Scrap kit by Pimp'd Scraps called ROCK IT

which you can purchase HERE and her blog is HERE

open a new canvas 600 x 600 you can crop later but i like room to work

copy and paste frame 1 onto the canvas as a new layer

with the magic wand tool, it looks like a little lasoo,

click on that tool and select 'magic wand'

select the 4 insides of the frame
by holding down the shift key while clicking inside each one.

while the area is selected...

go to selections modify expand by 3 and
copy and paste paper17 as a new layer.

then go to selections -invert

and hit the delete key to remove the excess.

slide this paper layer beneath the frame.

repeat the process for the close up of the tube..remember to
slide the tube underneath the frame

add a drop shadow i used the following

copy and paste the pink hair tie onto the canvas, slide to the very bottom layer.

if you are unsure how to do this..go to layers - move to bottom

open up the rock n roll wordart

go to image - rotate - free rotate...left by 90

copy a paste this onto the right side of the canvas....add the same drop shadow as before.

copy and paste the rock pluck from the kit resize usng smartsize by 25%
add to the bottom left of the tag...

see my tag for placement...

add the word art -ANGEL from the kit and resize this by 40%
add the same drop shadow as before.

add your name ....font i used was Toonish get it free HERE

font settings used were as follows...

colours were from the tag....
so background was set to pink and foreground was set to black
make sure anti alias is set to sharp.

finally add the full tube and arrange to the right of the tag..

add the same drop shadow..

add the artist ..save as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial xx
