GREEN - THE NEW BLACK

This tutorial was written by me 27/02/07 any resemblance to any other tut is purely coincidental
For this tut I am using the artwork of Skooshii

nice and easy tutoria,using the tools in PSP... you must have personal or group permission to use her art, we have at Sirens

Place the downloaded font in your fonts folder
if you do not know how to do this go HERE.

Open a new canvas 500 x 350

Now add a new Raster layer - choose a colour from your tube and
flood fill by selecting your flood fill tool.
(This is the little paint can image in your left hand side toolbar)

On the tool bar on the right hand side there is your background and foreground palettes, see below for an example

click on the background one and in the box that comes up pick a colour or type in the HEX code I used #54a15b.

See below for an example of what mine looks like.
Click OK

Now in your MENU bar go to Effects – texture effects – Blinds
as the screen shot below shows.

Now add your tube as a new layer
and place it where you feel it looks good.

Add a drop shadow to your tube 
go to Effects – 3D effects – drop shadow
I used the settings below.

Next Go to Menu bar - select - Image - Add Borders
(a prompt will open - just click OK )
Use these settings:

Now we need to add our text -
it is wise to always use a new layer for every additional piece of
art / text / masks / tube etc

Add a new layer by using either the Layer tools on the right hand side of your screen or through the Menu bar - Layers - new vector layer.

Click on your text tool which is the capital A on your left hand side toolbar.

copy and paste the text I included in the supplies you downloaded -
(green the new black)

The font I used was jailbIrD JenNA

Add another new layer so you can add your name.
In your text tool bar make sure the Jailblrd jenNa font is showing in the box that says 'font' and write your name in the text box with a dark green background selected and a lighter foreground selected
stroke 1 - font size 36

It is important to always use the copyright symbol and to give the artist the credit they deserve.
